Behind the Artist

Painting enables my imagination to run free. It allows me to answer solely to my own instincts, not be constrained by depending on others for collaboration.

 

I spent years working within a multitude of different mediums (street theater, multi media, dance, film & especially music to name a few).  Infused with the influence of those individuals I've worked with throughout my life, I have returned to painting.

My influences cover a wide range of incredible artists of all walks: Anselm Keifer, Francis Bacon, Gerhard Richter, Rembrandt, JMW Turner, Miles Davis, and especially my friend and inspiration Byung-Ki Kim!
